Assoc. Prof. Watcharin Gasaluck, President of Burapha University, together with Asst. Prof. Krisana Chinnasarn, Dean Faculty of Informatics; Asst. Prof. Nayot Kurukitkoson, Dean Faculty of Engineering; Asst. Prof. Punnee Pimapunsri, Dean of Burapha Business School; Asst. Prof. Savaminee Teerawut, Vice President; Asst. Prof. Punwalai Kewara, Assistant President, and Dr. Athita Onuean, Associate Dean Faculty of Informatics, visited IBM Academics Singapore to brainstorm and design the Graduate program in Innovation IT management and a short Executive IT course.
Mr Shanker Selvadural, Vice President and CTO, IBM Technology, Asia Pacific; Yue Yean Feng, Head of CSR, IBM APAC, together with IBM Singapore teams, and Mr Sirichai Dheerachaikulpanich, Senior Infrastructure Technical Manager, IBM Technology, Thailand joined the meeting for the drafting of the curriculum.
The main ideas of the Innovation IT management program are:
• Developing a 1.5-year bilingual graduate program focusing on IT / Non-IT executive managers in hospitals, factories, hotels, general industries, and government agencies.
• Obtaining double degrees in Master of Science and Master of Business Administration from the Faculty of Informatics and Burapha Business School.
• Accessing IBM-certified online learning platforms
• Inviting guest lecturers from IBM every semester
• Joining an IBM workshop in Singapore
This collaboration aims at elevating a graduate program to an international level according to the university’s strategic plan.
